QUICK LESSONS:
Be careful with your words; Repent sincerely when you have wronged someone; Make supplications to Allah in your prayers

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of reciting a special prayer called "Qunut" during his morning prayers. In this prayer, he would make supplications or requests to Allah against one of the Arab tribes for a month at a time. After that month was over, he would stop making these supplications and move on to another tribe. This teaches us that we should be careful with our words and not use them carelessly or without thought. We should also remember that Allah is merciful and forgiving, so even if we have wronged someone else, He will forgive us if we sincerely repent and ask for His forgiveness.
