Praying with Certainty

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that if someone is uncertain about their prayer, they should try to do what is correct and then prostrate twice.

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'If anyone of you is uncertain about his prayer, let him try to do what is correct then let him prostrate twice.’" Tanafisi said: "This is the basic rule, and no one is able to reject it".

QUICK LESSONS:
Try doing what is correct when praying and prostrating twice afterwards .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud teaches us the importance of praying with certainty. It states that if one is uncertain about their prayer, they should try to do what is correct and then prostrate twice. This basic rule was accepted by all and no one was able to reject it. Praying with certainty means that we must be sure of our actions when we are performing our prayers, as this will ensure that our prayers are accepted by Allah SWT. We must also strive to understand the meaning behind each action in order for us to gain the most benefit from our prayers. Additionally, this hadith also teaches us the importance of seeking knowledge in order for us to be certain in our actions and beliefs.
