Perform two Rakah before attending any religious gathering or sermon

This hadith highlights the importance of prayer before attending a sermon. It was narrated by Jabir that Sulaik Al-Ghatafani came while the Messenger of Allah was delivering a sermon and asked him if he had performed two Rakah before coming. When he said no, the Prophet advised him to perform two Rakah but make them brief.
