Respect your parents, maintain a strong relationship with them regardless of their beliefs or religion; be generous and kind towards them in order to receive Allah’s blessings in return

This hadith speaks to the importance of maintaining good relations with one's parents, even if they are not believers. It was narrated by Asma bint Abi Bakr, who asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ what she should do when her mother came to visit her and wanted a reward from her. The Prophet ﷺ advised her to keep good relations with her mother.
