Praising Allah - Men vs Women

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that men should say Subhan-Allah and women should clap when praising Allah.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "The Tasbih (saying Subhan-Allah) is for men and clapping is for women".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَهِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us how to properly praise Allah. He said that men should say Subhan-Allah which is known as Tasbih in Arabic while women should clap their hands. This hadith teaches us the importance of praising Allah and how we can do it in a respectful manner. It also shows us the differences between men and women when it comes to worshiping God. We can learn from this hadith that we must always be mindful of our actions when worshipping God and respect the differences between genders.
