EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith encourages us to strive for excellence and compete with one another in a good way. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that if people knew how much goodness was found in being at the front of the prayer line, they would cast lots to determine who would get it. This teaches us that we should always strive to do our best and put forth effort into everything we do. It also shows us that competition can be healthy when done with respect and kindness towards others. We should always aim high and work hard so that we can achieve our goals while still being mindful of those around us.
