Glorifying Allah in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to glorify Allah in prayer by saying "Subhana Rabbiyal-'Azim" three times when bowing and "Subhana Rabbiyal-Ala" three times when prostrating.

It was narrated from Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman that he heard the Messenger of Allah say when he bowed: "Subhana Rabbiyal-'Azim (Glory is to my Lord, the Most Great)" three times, and when he prostrated he said: "Subhana Rabbiyal-A’la (Glory is to my Lord the Most High)" three times.

By doing this, we are showing our love and respect for Allah as well as expressing our gratitude for all that He has given us. We can also use this time to reflect on our lives and ask for forgiveness from Him. By taking the time to do this during prayer, it helps us stay focused on what is important in life - worshipping Allah and living according to His teachings.
