Sunan Ibn Majah 775 (Book 4, Hadith 41) #30127
Coming to Prayer with Tranquility

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised people to come to the prayer calmly and peacefully, and if they miss any part of it, they should complete it.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: The Messenger of Allah said: "When the Iqamah is called for the prayer, do not come running. Come walking with tranquility. Whatever you catch up with, pray, and whatever you miss, complete it".

QUICK LESSONS:
Walk calmly and peacefully when going towards prayers
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that when we are called for prayer, we should not rush or run towards it. Instead, we should walk calmly and peacefully. If we miss any part of the prayer due to being late, then we must make up for what was missed in order for our prayer to be valid. This hadith teaches us the importance of tranquility in our lives as Muslims; even when rushing towards something important such as prayers, one must remain calm and composed. It also teaches us that if something is missed due to a mistake or lack of time then one must make up for it in order for their actions to be accepted by Allah SWT.
