Expressing Gratitude to Allah After Relieving Impurity

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) would express gratitude to Allah after relieving himself of impurity.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: "Whenever the Prophet exited the toilet, he would say: 'Al-hamdu lillahilladhi adhhaba 'annial-adha wa 'afani (Praise is to Allah Who has relieved me of impurity and given me good health)'."
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَقَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ـ ـ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْخَلاَءِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَذْهَبَ عَنِّي الأَذَى وَعَافَانِي

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about expressing gratitude and appreciation for the blessings that we receive from Allah. It was narrated by Anas bin Malik that whenever the Prophet exited the toilet he would say “Al-hamdu lillahilladhi adhhaba 'annial-adha wa 'afani” which translates to “Praise is to Allah Who has relieved me of impurity and given me good health”. This hadith teaches us that we should always be thankful for all the blessings we receive from Allah no matter how small they may seem. We should also remember that even something as simple as being able to use a toilet is a blessing from God and not take it for granted. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us of our responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness in our lives both physically and spiritually.
