Offering Prayers in the Mosque

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) instructed Jabir bin 'Abdullah to enter the Mosque and offer two rak'at when they reached Medina.

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah: I was on a journey in the company of the Prophet and when we reached Medina, he said to me, "Enter the Mosque and offer two rak'at".
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، رضى الله عنهما قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ فِي سَفَرٍ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ قَالَ لِي ‏ "‏ ادْخُلِ الْمَسْجِدَ فَصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ

This hadith is about offering prayers in the mosque. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was on a journey with Jabir bin 'Abdullah and when they reached Medina he asked him to enter the mosque and offer two rak'at of prayer. This hadith teaches us that it is important to pray in a mosque as it is a place of worship for Muslims.
