Sahih al-Bukhari 3085 (Book 56, Hadith 289) #2949
Expressing Gratitude to Allah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) and Safiya bint Huyay were travelling together when their she-camel slipped and they both fell down. Abu Talha jumped from his camel to help them, covering Safiya with a garment before setting the she-camel right so that they could continue their journey. When they arrived in Medina, the Prophet (ﷺ) expressed his gratitude for Allah's mercy by praising Him.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: We were in the company of the Prophet while returning from Usfan, and Allah's Messenger was riding his she-camel keeping Safiya bint Huyay riding behind him. His she-camel slipped and both of them fell down. Abu Talha jumped from his camel and said, "O Allah's Messenger ! May Allah sacrifice me for you". The Prophet said, "Take care of the lady". So, Abu Talha covered his face with a garment and went to Safiya and covered her with it, and then he set right the condition of their she-camel so that both of them rode, and we were encircling Allah's Messenger like a cover. When we approached Medina, the Prophet said, "We are returning with repentance and worshipping and praising our Lord". He kept on saying this till he entered Medina.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be thankful for all your blessings no matter how small or insignificant it may seem; show generosity towards those who are in need without expecting anything in return; show compassion towards others regardless of any differences between you or any other factors which may separate you from one another .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the importance of expressing gratitude to Allah for His mercy and blessings. It is narrated by Anas bin Malik that he was travelling with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Safiya bint Huyay when their she-camel slipped and both of them fell down. Abu Talha immediately jumped from his camel to help them out of this situation; he covered Safiya with a garment before setting the she-camel right so that they could continue their journey. When they arrived in Medina, the Prophet ﷺ expressed his gratitude for Allah's mercy by praising Him continuously until he entered Medina. This hadith teaches us about being thankful for all of our blessings no matter how small or insignificant it may seem; we should always remember to thank Allah for His kindness towards us as He is always watching over us even in our most difficult times. We should also be generous towards others like Abu Talha who showed kindness towards those in need without expecting anything in return; this is an important lesson which we can learn from this hadith as well as showing compassion towards others regardless of any differences between us or any other factors which may separate us from one another.
