Supplication of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) supplicated for Abu Zaid bin Akhtab and he lived a long life with few grey hairs.

Narrated Abu Zaid bin Akhtab: "The Messenger of Allah wiped his hand over my face and supplicated for me"'.Azrah (one of the narrators) said: "Indeed he lived for one-hundred and twenty years, and there weren't upon his head except for a few small grey hairs".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، بُنْدَارٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَزْرَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِلْبَاءُ بْنُ أَحْمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدِ بْنُ أَخْطَبَ، قَالَ مَسَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَدَهُ عَلَى وَجْهِي وَدَعَا لِي قَالَ عَزْرَةُ إِنَّهُ عَاشَ مِائَةً وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً وَلَيْسَ فِي رَأْسِهِ إِلاَّ شَعَرَاتٌ بِيضٌ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ اسْمُهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ أَخْطَبَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the supplication of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was narrated by Abu Zaid bin Akhtab that the Messenger of Allah wiped his hand over his face and supplicated for him. 'Azrah, one of the narrators, said that he lived for 120 years with only a few small grey hairs on his head. This hadith teaches us about how powerful and effective du'a can be when it comes from someone as pious as our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It also shows us how important it is to make du'a regularly in our lives, as we never know what blessings Allah has in store for us. Furthermore, this hadith also serves as an example to show us that if we lead a righteous life full of good deeds then Allah will bless us with long life and health.
