Remembering Allah's Mercy Through Recitation

SUMMARY: This hadith encourages people to remember Allah's mercy and to recite At-Tasbih, At-Tahlil, and At-Taqdis on their fingertips.

Humaidah bint Yasir narrated from her grandmother Yusairah - and she was one of those who emigrated - she said: "The Messenger of Allah said to us: 'Hold fast to At-Tasbih, At-Tahlil, and At-Taqdis, and count them upon the fingertips, for indeed they shall be questioned, and they will be made to speak. And do not become heedless, so that you forget about the Mercy (of Allah).’"

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad is encouraging us to remember Allah’s mercy by reciting three phrases - At-Tasbih, At-Tahlil and At-Taqdis - on our fingertips. These phrases are words of praise for God that Muslims use in prayer and meditation. By counting these words on our fingertips we can remind ourselves of God’s mercy and stay focused on Him throughout the day. We should not become careless or forget about His mercy as it is an important part of our faith.
