Sahih al-Bukhari 3058 (Book 56, Hadith 263) #2923
The Valley of Khaif Bani Kinana

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) asked about a house to stay in during his Hajj, and was told about the valley of Khaif Bani Kinana, where the Pagans of Quraish had taken an oath to remain loyal to heathenism.

Narrated Usama bin Zaid: I asked the Prophet during his Hajj, "O Allah's Messenger ! Where will you stay tomorrow?" He said, "Has 'Aqil left for us any house?" He then added, "Tomorrow we will stay at Khaif Bani Kinana, ie Al-Muhassab, where (the Pagans of) Quraish took an oath of Kufr (ie to be loyal to heathenism) in that Bani Kinana got allied with Quraish against Bani Hashim on the terms that they would not deal with the members of the is tribe or give them shelter". (Az-Zuhri said, "Khaif means valley")

QUICK LESSONS:
Uphold loyalty and faithfulness even in difficult times; Stand up for your beliefs; Do not compromise on your beliefs even when faced with opposition or adversity; Remain true to your values no matter what happens around you .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Usama bin Zaid asked the Prophet ﷺ where he would stay during his Hajj. The Prophet ﷺ then inquired if Aqil had left any house for them. He was then informed about the valley of Khaif Bani Kinana, which is also known as Al-Muhassab. This place is significant because it was here that the Pagans of Quraish took an oath to remain loyal to heathenism and not give shelter or deal with members from Banu Hashim tribe. This hadith teaches us that loyalty and faithfulness are important values that should be upheld even in difficult times. It also shows us how important it is for people to stand up for their beliefs and not compromise on them even when faced with opposition or adversity.
