Glorifying Allah in Mosques

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that the mosques are like gardens of Paradise and that one should glorify Allah, praise Him, declare His Oneness and greatness when passing by them.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, then feast". I said: "O Messenger of Allah, and what are the gardens of Paradise?" He said, "The Masajid". I said: "And what is feasting, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "'Glory is to Allah, (Subḥan Allah)’ and 'All praise is due to Allah, (Al-Ḥamdulillah)’ and 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, (La Ilaha Illallah)’ and 'Allah is the Greatest (Allahu Akbar).’"

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the importance of mosques in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that when we pass by a mosque, it should be like passing through a garden of paradise. He also taught us how we should respond when we pass by a mosque; we should glorify God with phrases such as “Glory is to God”, “All praise is due to God”, “None has the right to be worshipped but God” and “God is the Greatest”. These phrases remind us of our purpose in life which is worshipping and praising our Creator. We must remember that mosques are places where Muslims come together for prayer and worship so it's important for us to show respect whenever we enter or pass by one.
