Allah's Greatest Name in the Quran

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that Allah's greatest name is found in two verses of the Quran.

Asma bint Yazid narrated that the Prophet said: "Allah's greatest name is in these two Ayah: 'And your deity is One deity, there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He, Ar-Raḥman, Ar-Raḥim.’ And the Opening of Al-'Imran: 'Alif. Lam. Mim. Allah, None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever living, the Sustainer.’"

QUICK LESSONS:
Worship only one God ; Remember His mercy and compassion ; Repent sincerely for sins

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that Allah has a greatest name, which can be found in two verses of the Quran. The first verse is from Surah Al-Ikhlas, which states “And your deity is One deity, there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He, Ar-Ra?man, Ar-Ra?im” and the second verse is from Surah Al-'Imran which states “Alif. Lam. Mim. Allah, None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever living, the Sustainer” These two verses are very important as they remind us of how great and powerful our Lord is and how we should worship Him alone without any partners or idols. We should also remember that His mercy and compassion are infinite and He will always forgive us if we repent sincerely for our sins.
