Seek help from those authorized when necessary; Take life seriously; Do justice; Follow instructions given by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad sending a group of the Ansar to Abu Rafi'. One of them, Abdullah bin Atik, entered his house at night and killed him while he was sleeping. This shows that killing in self defense is allowed in Islam as long as it is done for a just cause. It also teaches us that we should not take matters into our own hands but instead seek help from those who are authorized to do so. We should also remember that taking someone's life is a serious matter and should only be done when absolutely necessary.
