The Danger of Arguing

SUMMARY: People who have been guided can still go astray if they resort to arguing.

Narrated Abu Umamah: that the Messenger of Allah said: "No people go astray after having been guided, but they resort to arguing". Then the Messenger of Allah recited this Ayah: '.They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are quarrelsome people. (43:58)'

QUICK LESSONS:
Understand each other's perspectives and find common ground rather than getting into arguments with one another.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the danger of arguing and how it can lead people astray from the right path. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ recited a verse from the Quran which states that those who argue are quarrelsome people. This means that when we argue, we are not only straying away from the right path but also engaging in behavior that is not beneficial for us or anyone else. We should instead focus on understanding each other's perspectives and finding common ground rather than getting into arguments with one another.
