Praising Allah as Foundation of Scriptures

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that praising Allah is the foundation of the Quran and other scriptures.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Messenger of Allah said: "Al-Hamdulillah is Umm Al-Qur'an and Umm Al-Kitab and the seven oft-repeated".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَنَفِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ أُمُّ الْقُرْآنِ وَأُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَالسَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad taught that praising Allah is the foundation of all scriptures. He said that alhamdulillah is like a mother to both the Quran and other books. He also mentioned seven oft repeated verses or phrases in these scriptures which are very important for believers to remember and recite often. This hadith teaches us to be grateful for all our blessings from God and to always remember Him in our daily lives by reciting His words from scripture. It also reminds us that we should not take any part of scripture lightly as each verse has its own importance and significance in our faith. We should strive to learn more about these verses so we can better understand their meanings and apply them in our lives accordingly.
