Jami at-Tirmidhi 2199 (Book 33, Hadith 42) #27832
Obeying Leaders Despite Injustice

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) advised people to listen and obey their leaders, even if they deny their rights, as each person is only responsible for their own burdens.

'Alqamah bin Wa'il bin Hujr narrated from his father: "I heard the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) while a man was asking him: 'What do you see that we should do if there are leaders over us who deny our rights, while they seek their rights?' So the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: 'Listen and obey, for only they are responsible for their burdens, and only you are responsible for your burdens"'.

QUICK LESSONS:
Listen & Obey your leader despite injustice done towards you .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of obedience and responsibility in a society with unjust leaders. The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) advised people to listen and obey their leaders, even if they deny them of their rights, as each person is only responsible for his or her own burdens. This hadith teaches us that we should not take matters into our own hands when faced with injustice from our leaders; instead we should remain patient and trust that Allah will reward us for our obedience in the hereafter. We must also remember that it is our responsibility to fulfill the obligations placed upon us by Allah, regardless of what others do or don't do around us; this includes fulfilling religious duties such as prayer and fasting, but also includes being honest in business dealings and treating others kindly despite any wrongdoings against ourselves or those close to us.
