Commanding Good & Forbidding Evil

SUMMARY: The Prophet (s.a.w) warned that if people do not command good and forbid evil, Allah will send a punishment upon them and they will not be answered when they call upon Him.

Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! Either you command good and forbid evil, or Allah will soon send upon you a punishment from Him, then you will call upon Him, but He will not respond to you".

QUICK LESSONS:
Command good & forbid evil

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of commanding good and forbidding evil in order to stay away from Allah's punishment. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned that if people do not take action to prevent wrongdoings, then Allah will send a punishment upon them and they will not be answered when they call upon Him for help. It is important for us to remember this warning so we can strive to make sure we are doing our part in preventing wrongdoings in our society, as well as encouraging others to do the same. We should also remember that even though it may seem difficult at times, it is worth it because it brings us closer to Allah's mercy and protection from His wrath.
