Express gratitude towards God when consuming food or drinks .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the importance of expressing gratitude to Allah for the food and drink we consume. It is narrated by several companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that he said “Indeed Allah is pleased with the slave who upon eating his food or drinking his drink he praises Him for it”. This hadith encourages us to remember Allah in all our affairs including when we eat or drink something. We should thank Him for providing us with sustenance as well as other blessings in our lives such as health and safety. By doing so we can show our appreciation to God which will bring us closer to Him and increase His pleasure towards us. Additionally this hadith also teaches us that even small acts of worship can be pleasing to God if done sincerely from the heart out of love for Him rather than just out of habit or obligation.
