The Fast Horse of Abu Talha

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) borrowed a horse and found it to be fast, which alleviated the feeling of fright in Medina.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: There was a feeling of fright in Medina, so the Prophet borrowed a horse called Mandub belonging 'to Abu Talha and mounted it. (On his return), he said, "I did not see anything of fright and I found this horse very fast".
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَزَعٌ، فَاسْتَعَارَ النَّبِيُّ فَرَسًا لأَبِي طَلْحَةَ، يُقَالُ لَهُ مَنْدُوبٌ فَرَكِبَهُ، وَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ فَزَعٍ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the time when there was a feeling of fear in the city of Medina. To alleviate this fear, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ borrowed a horse called Mandub from Abu Talha and rode it. After riding it, he said that he did not find anything to be scared about and that he found the horse to be very fast. This hadith teaches us that we should always remain calm and composed even during times of distress or fear as Allah will always provide us with solutions if we trust Him. We should also remember to thank Allah for His blessings no matter how small they may seem as He is always watching over us.
