The Prophet's (PBUH) Black 'Imamah' on the Day of Conquest

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) entered Makkah on the day of the Conquest wearing a black 'Imamah'.

Narrated Jabir: "On the day of the Conquest, the Prophet entered Makkah, and he was wearing a black 'Imamah". He said: THere are narrations on this topic from 'Ali, 'Amr bin Huraith, Ibn 'Abbas, Rukanah. Abu 'Eisa said: The Hadith is Jabir is Hasan Sahih Hadith.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَرُكَانَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of conquest in Makkah, Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) wore a black headgear called an Imamah. This event was narrated by Jabir and other narrators such as Ali, Amr bin Huraith and Ibn Abbas. It is considered to be a Hasan Sahih Hadith which means it is reliable and authentic. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to dress modestly and appropriately for any occasion or situation. We should also take pride in our Islamic identity by wearing clothing that reflects our faith.
