Perform ablution before taking a bath; Rub your hair until all parts are wet; Pour water thrice over your body; Use soap or any other cleansing agent if available; Conserve water while performing religious rituals such as Ghusl or Wudu'.

This hadith explains the process of taking a bath for ritual purification, as practiced by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. According to this hadith, when performing Ghusl or ritual bath, one should first clean their hands and perform ablution like that for prayer. Then they should take a bath and rub their hair until all parts of the head are wet. After that they should pour water thrice over their body and wash it with soap or any other cleansing agent if available. It is also mentioned in this hadith that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to take a bath from a single water container with Aisha simultaneously. This shows us how important it is to conserve water and use it wisely even while performing religious rituals such as Ghusl or Wudu'.
