EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the amount of money that should be paid as compensation for a crime or injury. It was narrated by 'Ikrimah from Ibn 'Abbas, who said that the Prophet set this amount to be twelve thousand. This means that if someone causes harm or injury to another person, they must pay an amount of money as compensation for it. This is known as blood-money and it is important because it helps people get justice and receive financial support in case of any harm caused to them. It also serves as a deterrent against committing crimes since people know they will have to pay a certain sum if they do so.

The values taught in this hadith are justice, fairness, and responsibility towards others. People should take responsibility for their actions and not cause harm or injury to anyone else without being willing to pay for it financially if necessary. Justice should always prevail and those who commit wrongs should face consequences accordingly so that everyone can live peacefully without fear of injustice or unfairness in society.
