Buy items in small quantities if you cannot afford larger amounts

This hadith is about the permission given by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to Al-'Araya, allowing him to purchase goods in cases of five Wasq or less. A wasq is a unit of measurement for grains and other dry commodities, which is equivalent to 60 sa’, and one sa’ is equal to 4 mudds.
