QUICK LESSONS:
Women should travel with their mahrams if their journey takes more than 24 hours .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, narrated by Abu Hurairah, states that it is not permissible for a woman to travel alone for the distance of one day and one night without being accompanied by someone who is her close relative, known as her mahram. This means that if she needs to go on a journey which will take more than 24 hours, she must be accompanied by someone who is related to her in such a way that marriage between them would be forbidden. This could include her father, brother or son. The purpose of this rule is to ensure the safety and protection of women when they are travelling away from home. It also serves as an important reminder about the importance of respecting family ties and maintaining strong relationships with relatives.
