The Power of Repentance

SUMMARY: Allah forgives the sins of those who repent and seek forgiveness.

Anas bin Malik narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: "There is nothing that the two Guardian Angels raise to Allah that they have preserved in a day or night, and Allah finds good in the beginning of the scroll and in the end of the scroll, except that Allah Most High says: 'Bear witness that I have forgiven my servant for what is included in the scroll'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Strive to do better and seek God's forgiveness when you make mistakes .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the power of repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah. It tells us that when we sincerely repent for our wrongdoings and ask for Allah's forgiveness, He will forgive us no matter how big or small our sins may be. The hadith also mentions two guardian angels who record all our deeds in a scroll - good or bad - which is then presented to Allah. Even if there are some bad deeds in the scroll, if it starts and ends with something good then Allah will forgive us for what is included in between. This shows us that even if we make mistakes in life, as long as we strive to do better and seek His forgiveness then He will always be merciful towards us.
