The Rewards of Umrah and Hajj

SUMMARY: Performing Umrah multiple times can atone for sins and performing Hajj Mabrur will be rewarded with Paradise.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "Umrah to 'Umrah atones for the sins between them, and for Al-Hajj Al-Mabrur there is no reward except Paradise".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ الْعُمْرَةُ إِلَى الْعُمْرَةِ تُكَفِّرُ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَالْحَجُّ الْمَبْرُورُ لَيْسَ لَهُ جَزَاءٌ إِلاَّ الْجَنَّةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the rewards of performing the Islamic pilgrimage, or hajj, and its lesser form, umrah. According to this hadith, if a person performs umrah multiple times it can atone for their sins in between each one. Additionally, if a person performs hajj mabrur - which means they perform it with sincerity and devotion - then they will be rewarded with paradise. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to perform our religious duties sincerely in order to reap the rewards from Allah SWT.
