Praying at Mina

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led the people in prayer at Mina for five different times of day and then left for Arafat.

Ata reported that Ibn Abbas narrated: "The Messenger of Allah led us in Salat at Mina for Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr, then he left in the morning to Arafat".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الأَجْلَحِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِمِنًى الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ وَالْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ وَالْفَجْرَ ثُمَّ غَدَا إِلَى عَرَفَاتٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَدْ تَكَلَّمُوا فِيهِ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ

This hadith tells us about the importance of prayer in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) led his followers in prayer at a place called Mina five times a day - Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and Fajr - and then left to go to another place called Arafat. This shows us how important it is to pray regularly throughout the day as well as how important it is to be mindful of our surroundings when we are praying.
