QUICK LESSONS:
Seek medical help when necessary and take care of one's health even during religious rituals and practices .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad being cupped while he was in a state of Ihram. During the Hajj pilgrimage, Muslims enter into a special spiritual and physical condition known as ‘Ihram’. It is during this time that they are not allowed to do certain activities such as cutting their hair or nails, wearing perfume or engaging in marital relations. This hadith shows us that even though the Prophet Muhammad was in this special condition, it did not stop him from seeking medical treatment when needed. He showed us that we should take care of our health and seek medical help when necessary even if we are observing certain rituals or practices at the same time.
