Rewarding Generosity During Ramadan

SUMMARY: Whoever provides food for a fasting person to break their fast with will receive the same reward as the fasting person.

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person".

QUICK LESSONS:
Provide food for a fasting individual so they can break their fast at sunset.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the great reward that comes from providing food for someone who is fasting during Ramadan. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that whoever provides food for a fasting person to break their fast with, will receive the same reward as the fasting person without anything being diminished from their own reward. This teaches us that generosity and kindness are greatly rewarded by Allah and should be practiced during this blessed month of Ramadan. It also encourages us to help those in need, especially those who are observing fasts, so they can have something to break it with at sunset.
