Jami at-Tirmidhi 748 (Book 8, Hadith 67) #26313
Fasting Daily According to the Prophet (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) advised to fast Ramadan and the days after it, as well as every Wednesday and Thursday, so that one can fast daily.

Ubaidullah (bin Muslim) Al-Qurashi narrated from his father who said: "I asked - or; the Prophet was asked - about fasting daily. So he said: 'Your family has a right over you'. Then he said: 'Fast Ramadan and that which is after it, and every Wednesday and Thursday. If you do that, then you will have fasted daily, as well as broken (the fast)'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Prioritize family responsibilities over religious activities such as fasting or praying .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Ubaidullah bin Muslim Al-Qurashi from his father states that when asked about fasting daily, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ advised to fast during Ramadan and the days after it, as well as every Wednesday and Thursday. This way one can have a regular practice of fasting throughout the week. It is important to note that this hadith does not mean that one should only fast on these days; rather it is an advice for those who want to make sure they are fasting regularly throughout the week. Additionally, this hadith also emphasizes on taking care of family responsibilities first before engaging in any religious activities such as fasting or praying. This shows us how important family values are in Islam and how we should prioritize our families over other things in life.
