The Prophet's Prayer of Ad-Duha

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) would pray Ad-Duha until people thought he would not leave it, and then he would leave it until they thought he wouldn't pray it.

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated: "The Prophet would pray Ad-Duha until we would say: 'He will not leave it'. And he would leave it until we would say: 'He will not pray it'."
حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى حَتَّى نَقُولَ لاَ يَدَعُ وَيَدَعُهَا حَتَّى نَقُولَ لاَ يُصَلِّي ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prayer of Ad-Duha that the Prophet Muhammad PBUH used to perform. It was narrated by Abu Sa'eed Al Khudri that the prophet PBUH used to pray this prayer until people thought he wouldn't leave it, and then he'd stop praying and they'd think he wouldn't start again. This hadith teaches us that we should be consistent in our worship of Allah SWT and follow the sunnah of our beloved prophet PBUH. We should strive to be consistent in our prayers so that we can reap its rewards both in this life and the hereafter.
