Praying Four Rakats Before Al-Asr

SUMMARY: The Prophet (S) encouraged people to pray four rakats before Al-Asr.

Ibn Umar narrated that : The Prophet (S) said: "May Allah have mercy upon a man who prays four before Al-Asr".
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، سَمِعَ جَدَّهُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ امْرَأً صَلَّى قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ أَرْبَعًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ حَسَنٌ
