Jami at-Tirmidhi 158 (Book 2, Hadith 10) #25723
Waiting for Cooler Time for Zuhr Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to wait until it is cooler before performing the Zuhr prayer, as the severity of heat is from the raging of Hell.

Abu Dharr narrated: "Allah's Messenger was on a journey and Bilal was with him. So he wanted to call for the prayer, but he (the Prophet) said: 'Let it get cooler'. Then he wanted to call for the prayer, so Allah's Messenger said: 'Let it get to the cooler time of Zuhr'." He (ie, Abu Dharr) said: "Until we saw the shadows of the hillocks, then he commanded that the Iqamah be called and then led the people in prayer. Allah's Messenger said: 'The severity of heat is from the raging of Hell, so wait until it becomes cooler for the (Zuhr) prayer'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Wait till its cooler before performing Zuhr prayer

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that we should be patient and wait until it is cooler before performing our Zuhr prayer. The Prophet Muhammad was on a journey with Bilal when he wanted to call for the prayer, but he said to wait until it gets cooler. He waited until they saw the shadows of hillocks and then commanded that Iqamah be called and led people in prayer. Allah's Messenger said that the severity of heat is from the raging of Hell, so we should wait until it becomes cooler for our prayers. This hadith teaches us patience and reminds us not to rush into things without thinking about their consequences or effects on ourselves or others around us. It also reminds us that Allah knows best what is good for us and when something should be done in order to achieve maximum benefit from it.
