Rewarded for Restraint

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that a person will be rewarded with seventy good deeds for the first blow they give in an altercation.

Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Prophet said: For the first blow seventy good deeds will be recorded.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّازُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي، أَوْ أُخْتِي عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏ "‏ فِي أَوَّلِ ضَرْبَةٍ سَبْعِينَ حَسَنَةً
