Greeting Each Other with Praise and Forgiveness

SUMMARY: Muslims should greet each other with a handshake, praise Allah and ask for forgiveness in order to be forgiven.

Narrated Al-Bara' ibn Azib: The Prophet said: If two Muslims meet, shake hands, praise Allah, and ask Him for forgiveness, they will be forgiven.
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بَلْجٍ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ الْعَنَزِيِّ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ إِذَا الْتَقَى الْمُسْلِمَانِ فَتَصَافَحَا وَحَمِدَا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَاسْتَغْفَرَاهُ غُفِرَ لَهُمَا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of greeting each other in a peaceful manner. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that when two Muslims meet, they should shake hands, praise Allah and ask Him for forgiveness. By doing this, they will be forgiven by Allah. This hadith teaches us the importance of showing kindness to one another and being forgiving towards others. It also encourages us to remember Allah in our interactions with others by praising Him and asking for His forgiveness.
