Greeting Children

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) greeted some children who were playing.

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Messenger of Allah came to some children who were playing: He saluted them.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ - عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسٌ أَتَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَلَى غِلْمَانٍ يَلْعَبُونَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ

It also teaches us that we should take time out of our day to appreciate the innocence of childhood and enjoy their playfulness. We should also remember that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life, especially for young children who are still learning about the world around them.
