Gratitude to Allah for Life and Resurrection

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) would thank Allah for giving him life after death and for the promise of resurrection.

Hudhaifah said : when the prophet (May peace be upon him) lay down on his bed (at night), he would say: O Allah! In Thy name I die and live. When he awoke, he said: praise be to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die and to whom we shall be resurrected.

QUICK LESSONS:
Show gratitude towards God in all circumstances

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of showing gratitude to Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that when we lay down on our beds at night we should say “O Allah! In Thy name I die and live” as a reminder that life is fleeting and death can come at any time. When we wake up in the morning, we should thank Him for giving us life again after causing us to die. We should also be thankful for His promise of resurrection on the Day of Judgment. This hadith teaches us that it is important to be grateful to Allah in all circumstances because He has given us so much.
