Try your best not to get angry even if you are provoked or hurt by someone else's words or actions. Strive hard every day to practice self control so that you can receive this great blessing from Allah on the Day of Judgment.

This hadith is about the reward for suppressing anger when one is in a position to give vent to it. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that Allah will call the person on the Day of Resurrection over all creatures and ask him to choose any bright and large eyed maidens he wishes as his reward. This hadith teaches us that we should always try our best not to get angry, even if we are provoked or hurt by someone else's words or actions. It also shows us how generous Allah is with His rewards; He gives us something beautiful as a reward for controlling our emotions!
