Sunan Abi Dawud 4766 (Book 42, Hadith 171) #25057
Identifying Enemies Through Shaving Heads

SUMMARY: Killing those who shave their heads and eliminate the hair is a sign of identifying them.

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Anas through a different chain of narrators in a similar manner. This version adds; Their sign is shaving the head and eliminating the hair. If you see them, kill them. Abu Dawud said: Tasmid means uprooting the hair.

QUICK LESSONS:
Be aware of your enemies; Take necessary precautions to protect yourself; Respect life by not taking it away unless absolutely necessary.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith talks about how to identify enemies. It states that if someone shaves their head and eliminates the hair, they should be killed. The term 'tasmid' means uprooting the hair, which is another way of saying shaving it off completely. This hadith teaches us that we should be aware of our enemies and take necessary precautions to protect ourselves from them. We must also remember that killing someone is a serious matter and should only be done in extreme cases when there is no other option available.
