The Acceptance of Prayer by Allah

SUMMARY: Allah does not accept the prayer of a man who has any khaluq (perfume composed of saffron) on his body.

Al-Rabi' b. Anas, quoting his two grandfathers, said: We heard Abu Musa say: The Messenger of Allah said: Allah does not accept the prayer of a man who has any khaluq (perfume composed of saffron) on his body. Abu Dawud said: His grandfathers were Zaid and Ziyad.
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الأَسَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ الأَسَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ جَدَّيْهِ، قَالاَ سَمِعْنَا أَبَا مُوسَى، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ لاَ يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى صَلاَةَ رَجُلٍ فِي جَسَدِهِ شَىْءٌ مِنْ خَلُوقٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ جَدَّاهُ زَيْدٌ وَزِيَادٌ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the acceptance of prayer by Allah. It states that if a person has any perfume composed of saffron on their body, then their prayer will not be accepted by Allah. This teaches us that we should be mindful and careful when it comes to our prayers and make sure that we are in a state where our prayers can be accepted by Allah. We should also take care to ensure that we are clean and free from anything which may prevent us from being able to pray properly or have our prayers accepted by Him. Additionally, this hadith reminds us to always strive for purity in all aspects of life so as to please Allah and gain His acceptance in all matters including our prayers.
