Consuming Clarified Butter with a Mouse

SUMMARY: Clarified butter should not be consumed if a mouse falls into it, regardless of its state.

Narrated AbuHurayrah: The Prophet said: When a mouse falls into clarified butter, if it is sold, throw the mouse and what is around it away, but if it is in a liquid state, do not go near it. Al-Hasan said: Abdur Razzaq said: This tradition has been transmitted by Ma'mar, from az-Zuhri, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Abbas, from Maymunah, from the Prophet .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the consumption of clarified butter when a mouse has fallen into it. This hadith teaches us to be careful when consuming food items as we must ensure that they are safe for consumption before eating them. We must also take care to avoid any contamination of food items by animals or other sources which may make them unsafe for human consumption.
