Acceptance of a Roasted Hare

SUMMARY: The Prophet accepted a roasted hare from Anas b. Malik, who was an adolescent boy at the time.

Anas b. Malik said: I was an adolescent boy. I hunted a hare and roasted it. Abu Talha sent its hunch through me to the Prophet , so I brought it to him and he accepted it.

QUICK LESSONS:
Share your food with others; Do good deeds no matter how small they may seem; Respect young people's capabilities; Be generous with your food; Appreciate small acts of kindness

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the Prophet's acceptance of a roasted hare from Anas b. Malik, who was an adolescent boy at the time. This shows us that even small acts of kindness can be appreciated by Allah and His Messenger, and that we should always strive to do good deeds no matter how small they may seem. It also teaches us to be generous with our food and share it with others, as Abu Talha did when he sent his portion of the roast to the Prophet through Anas b. Malik. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us that we should never underestimate young people or their capabilities; even though Anas was only an adolescent boy at the time, he still managed to hunt and roast a hare for himself and his family!
