Righteousness Through Eating and Drinking

SUMMARY: Eating and drinking with the right hand is encouraged as it is a sign of righteousness.

Ibn 'Umar reported the Prophet as sayings: When any of you eats, he should eat with his right hand, and when he drinks, he should drink with his right hand, for the devil eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand.

Eat & drink using the right hand
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith encourages us to eat and drink with our right hand, as it is a sign of righteousness. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that the devil eats and drinks with his left hand, so we should strive to do the opposite in order to be righteous. This hadith also teaches us that even small actions can have an impact on our spiritual wellbeing, as something as simple as eating or drinking can be used to demonstrate our faithfulness. We should strive to make sure that all of our actions are done in accordance with Islamic teachings in order for us to become closer to Allah SWT.
