Be mindful when preparing food items; Preserve quality when preparing food items; Respect food items while preparing them.

This hadith is narrated by Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin. It tells us that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prohibited boiling dates so much so that their kernels are spoiled, as well as mixing raisins and dried dates. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of how we prepare food items in order to preserve their quality. We should also be careful not to mix different types of food together if it will spoil the taste or texture of either item. These teachings remind us to be mindful of our actions when preparing food for ourselves or others in order to ensure its quality is preserved.
