EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a tradition that was transmitted by Abu Majidah al-Sahmi from 'Umar b. al-Khattab through a different chain of narrators. The transmission of this tradition is known as an isnad or ijazah in Arabic which means to give permission or authorization to someone to transmit knowledge from one person to another in an unbroken chain going back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself. This type of transmission is important for preserving the teachings and values found in Islam so they can be passed down accurately and authentically for generations to come. It also serves as an example for us on how we should strive to pass down our own knowledge and values with integrity and accuracy so they can be preserved for future generations as well.
