The Reward of Kindness

SUMMARY: Doing small acts of kindness can be rewarded by Allah.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "While a man was on the way, he found a thorny branch of a tree there on the way and removed it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي بِطَرِيقٍ، وَجَدَ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ فَأَخَذَهُ، فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ، فَغَفَرَ لَهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the reward for doing small acts of kindness. It was narrated by Abu Huraira that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that while a man was on his way he found a thorny branch and removed it from the path. Allah thanked him for this deed and forgave him. This hadith teaches us to do good deeds no matter how small they may seem because Allah will reward us for them in ways we cannot imagine. We should also be grateful to Allah for His blessings and forgiveness as He is always merciful towards us even when we make mistakes or forget to thank Him.
